Franny's Farm

My mother, little sister and I stayed here at The Roost in the 3rd floor apartment March 29 - April 2. The apartment was very cute with a rustic theme (to be expected) but there was a towel in the bathroom with toothpaste smeared on it and another in the room my mother and sister shared in the closet that was crusty. The kitchen had a mish mash of available cook ware- no tongs or baking pans so we had to go out and buy them. There was also no coffee in the coffee tin. The beds were very comfortable as well as the three sofas and we enjoyed gathering in the living room area playing games. The manual that was there was confusing at best. Gave very specific instructions on how to turn on the tv but said that there was a grocery store about 10 minutes down the road with no further info.nThe farm left a lot to be desired. The gardens were filled with weeds, there was no clear signs of where the hiking trail was, we went to the shop and all that was being sold were eggs. They recently switched their bee people so no honey. All the areas were marked ‘employees only’ and so we didn’t know if we could even go into the gardens or visit with the goats until one of the guys working there told us.nThe goats were absolutely fantastic. Bouncing baby goats are the best. Got to snuggle the little one and feed them all cucumber slices and lettuce leaves. The donkey was also as sweet as can be and loves carrots. The two male goats and the sheep that were right next to The Roost were super friendly as well and love cucumber. They would come running to the fence anytime we came by for a snack.nWe did enjoy our stay but it is not worth the price. Not for what is there.

Sweet little place. We stayed in the barn house and loved it. Very comfortable and well stocked. We brought our two teenage boys. Believe it or not, we were easily able to unhook them from the electronics here. We played lots of games; took long walks, and enjoyed watching and even meeting the animals.

My friend and our dogs decided to have a girls getaway weekend, so we decided to stay at this wonderful, adorable farm tucked away in the gorgeous mountains. Perfect stay! Can’t wait to come back ud83dude0a
