Motel 6 La Vale, MD - Cumberland

Very clean room and cozyyyyy!! I will say that my room was haunted though... Straight up!! Woke up to the bathroom water turning on and off and all the door handles shaking at once. Jumped up and turned my camera on and caught this on film I don't know if they knew I go ghost hunting or what because I haven't read any other reviews saying anything but I'm being dead serious I never stay in motels so this was the first I've had to in years. But it was a the 3rd floor room 310. If I could post the 2 minute video I would ): I thought I already left a review saying this but I must not have. But here you go!!!

Well, for starters, I made my reservation thru the website and used Discover, which is my GoTo card. Accepted I arrived later and checked in. Mandy the clerk was very nice and accomadated my request. Upon paying for the room, I was told my card was declined I insisted telling her it must be some mistake, declined a second time she realized it was Discover, stating 'We don't take Discover'. I said there must be some mistake as the reservation was held on Discover. She eventually called Randy to help her with the check-in. Several phone calls in 45 minutes later still standing at the counter I conceded and offered them another credit card. After this cluster f**k I will never stop at another motel 6 or book another room in their chain. I finally did check into my room and it was fine a typical low budget room with no amenities no refrigerator no microwave no coffee pot, likewise the motel does not offer coffee in the morning nor do they have complement to breakfast. Moral of the story is you get what you pay for. In fairness to both Randy who attempted for over an hour to figure out what was going on and Mandy they are two employees doing the best they can working for morons in some central office that does not have a clue what it takes to work with the general public. If you're looking for low budget motel 6 they will keep the light on for you ‼ufe0f

Lying thieves. Go anywhere else but here. Somewhere owned by americans. You'll have better luck. Trust me.

I have stayed at this property about a dozen times, and I have had excellent experience every single time. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Love the staff and their friendliness. In my opinion, no other hotels in the area can provide what Motel 6 lavale can provide for the same or lesser price.

To be an older hotel, this place definitely acceptable! The staff were super kind and helpful. The room was clean. (207). No bed bugs found. No harsh smells. We opened up a window and let air out a few and was as good as Hilton for way bettet price!! Only complaint at all was a man screaming in middle of night briefly but we made it thru it and found out he's a long stay guest with mental health issues but not a threat. I've dealt with such at nice new hotels from drunks that were much more of a threat.
