Violet Hill was a perfect home away from home experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Violet Hill is an elegant home with an inviting back porch with a peaceful view of the Cane River.nnMost heartwarming was the friendly, warm welcome we received from Laverne, host and chef extraordinaire. She made breakfast extra special with her infectious joy and exquisite food. We loved our stay and we LOVED Laverne!
The breakfast was as good as the site claims. Our innkeeper was amazing with such a bright, fun attitude. This is my first stay at a bed and breakfast, and I'm glad I chose this over a standard hotel.
Great location and Laverne was wonderful. Easy walk to downtown. Pretty place with lovely decorations for Christmas.nWe did hear street noise from our front suite. This suite is very spacious with comfortable furnishings. These pics are at front entrance and also from water front pier along Cane River Lake.
We absolutely love staying here and it’s our go-to when driving from Dallas to New Orleans. The location is perfect...an easy walk to shops and restaurants but also so relaxing on the river...the best of both. It’s clean, the breakfast is delicious and of course the inn manager Laverne makes you feel so welcome. Highly recommend.
This is the best b&B to stay in the area. You can walk to all stores on front street and it is on the Cane River so you can watch the boats and see the Christmas lights. LaVerne is the best host and food is tremendous.
