Wonderful place to stay! Walkable to downtown Natchez.

Phenomenal accommodations, wonderful breakfast, excellent host! The host (Joe) share history of the home (his family has owned it since it was built) and the area. This is definitely THE place to stay in Natches!

Joe was a most interesting & thoughtful host. He has beautifully restored his family home and was very willing to share the history, the stories & the available things to enjoy while in Natchez. The breakfasts were very good & stunningly served on fine china & silver. However, the most enjoyable & special part of the stay was a piano concert given by Joe. He played thrilling classical pieces for nearly an hour—and just for us!! Even though we were the only guests, he still played the entire program. Special, indeed!

You can only look at your own four walls for so long before you need to get out and look at four different walls for a while. I picked the Stone House due to its value and general good ratings, but was unprepared for the comfort and care we received.nnFirst, the communication e-mail from Joe, the proprietor, was spot on. Informative, kind, PERSONAL (not a form letter) and told us everything we’d need to know to get into the cottage.nnThe historic house is only two blocks from the main restaurant area, but is nestled in a lovely, wooded garden, giving the impression that you are far from everything, disconnected and peaceful. There is only one lodging, a cozy 2-bedroom cottage furnished with antiques and beautiful art. When I say cozy, I mean it. There’s a bit of a sitting area and a small breakfast table in the main bedroom. But that doesn’t mean there’s no room. We took coffee in the outdoor sitting area and read in the generous courtyard. Since we were the only guests, it was all ours! Beautiful and peaceful.nnJoe and his beautiful doggo, Precious, met us shortly after arrival and gave us a grand tour of the main house, and I do mean grand. This is a breathtaking home, a monument to Natchez history and the Stone family. Joe has preserved all of it with care, displaying historic maps, books and art throughout. Each room was another amazement - a billiard room, a small conservatory and a majestic dining room.nnJoe himself is a talented musician and something of a musical historian. He played for us on our second evening, a curated selection of pieces that he introduced. We enjoyed it with a glass of champagne and loved every minute.nnHe is also knowledgeable about local restaurants and can provide excellent recommendations.nnOk. The main event. Breakfast. Hands down the best breakfast i have ever been served at an hotel. We started each morning with a fresh fruit salad, arrayed like an artwork. Next, homemade breakfast breads served from an antique silver warmer, genuine China on the table, a main egg course worthy of Brennan’s in New Orleans. All served to us as though we were royalty instead of a couple of schlubs in jeans and sneakers.nnJoe treats your health and safety seriously. He wore a mask during our entire stay. The rooms were clean and included a small bottle of hand sanitizer.nnNo review would be complete without mentioning our hostess, Precious. She was gracious and attentive, always up for a game of tug with her stuffed ducky. She joined us for coffee each morning and generously offered her ears for skritchers.nnStone House Musical B and B is an oasis. If you want to be pampered and welcomed as family by the kindest host in the world, you will find your place here.

We enjoyed our stay! House was beautiful inside and out. Owner was very helpful and informative! The house is part of Natchez’ historical home tours and is worth visiting. So much history and an excellent breakfast!
