I travelled to Natchez with my wife for a quick weekend getaway. We could not have asked for a better experience at the Devereaux Shields House. From the moment that we checked in, Angela and Ron were attentive to every need. They made sure that we knew of the many amazing things to see and do in town, and went out of their way to ensure that our trip was spectacular. The hot breakfast provided each morning was wonderful, and there were always soft drinks and water in the refrigerator in the dining room. This was a tremendous experience, and we will definitely be back to stay again.

What a wonderful little gem to find! Check in was a breeze. Angela was amazing, so helpful, and we had some great conversations. Rooms were gorgeous with plenty of amenities. Breakfast was lovingly prepared and served in their beautiful dining room. Every moment of our stay was perfect. The only thing I could say that would be a downside is the coffee service in the morning was later than I'm used to. I'm an extremely early riser, so next time I'll plan ahead and bring my own. The coffee was really good either way! I will be back!!

We stayed for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. The owners went over the top and out of their way to make our stay very special. Their hospitality is outstanding.nnDevereaux Shields House is beautiful while the staff is friendly and caring. Our suite was exceptional and very comfortable and clean. The food was absolutely wonderful. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

My brother and I stayed two nights in the Alice Room in this B&B's annex property Aunt Clara's Cottage. I second the positive reviews from previous, recent guests: we were treated warmly and hospitable. Hot breakfast was plentiful and tasty, staff were accommodating and attentive. Room was clean and well appointed. Bathroom fully equipped with all you might need. WiFi signal strength was good. Appreciated free parking. Check-in quick. Free drinks and snacks available throughout stay from self-serve area in dining room.nnBe careful when pulling out driveway. If you have a SUV as most of us seem to have nowadays, you can hit the tree with your left mirror. I did. Not the property's fault. Just for your attention.

This was our first time staying in a B and B, and it was everything we dreamed it would be! We stayed 5 nights and felt like we were home the entire time. Our room(s) were the Gallery Suite. So beautiful! The owners are amazing! The food was amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed, including plenty of coffee! It was a very cold weekend, but as long as we were inside, we were always warm and comfortable. Thank you Ron and Eleanor for making our anniversary the best one yet!nnNatchez is a romantic town that I would recommend to everyone! Everywhere you go is just a few minutes away which is so nice while you’re on vacation.
