Had a really great experience renting bikes here! We rented from a different place on Monday only because Fat Tire happened to be closed, and now I know to just not even worry about Mondays - don’t rent from anyone except Fat Tire on Tybee! At another rental place, they were specific about not taking certain bikes onto the beach, whereas Fat Tire’s bikes basically all ride on the beach. I assume the friendly man at Fat Tire was probably the owner, and he was very helpful and nice. Also, his bikes are in great shape (much better than the competing company). It was funny when I asked about which bikes go on the beach, as it probably did sound like a weird question when you are literally AT the beach!

Excellent service we got while on our trip to Savannah. Mr. Leo and his team were extremely sweet and helped us with everything that we needed.

Great experience renting bikes here! Quick, easy, no nonsense. Came here after waiting over 40 minutes at another rental service. Located very close to the bike trail. Owner had great suggestions for restaurants and transportation.

Leo was incredibly friendly and kind. So our chain popped off on the bike and while we was out kayaking he came by and replaced the bike. His daughter said he’s so helpful even if you got too drunk to ride he’s more than willing to come help you out. Our other bike had no issues and everything went well, rode them bikes all day long across Tybee Island.nnLeo suggested we get lunch at Sundae Cafe where his daughter Allie works, as well where to rent Kayaks from Shane @ North Kayak, reviews coming for them too. His daughter Allie suggested Shane @ North Kayaks so we went that evening. Just letting the locals lead the way made for a great day.

Lovely establishment! We rented a beach house 10 minutes away, and Leo gave us a lift so that we could ride bikes along the beach and back home! Kind workers, great quality bikes, and an excellent business to support!
