We stayed in Suite #4 (March 19-22, 2021) which has the benefit of a private door from the outside and the only ground floor guest room. It was spacious, well appointed with cozy recliners for reading or a game of cards, the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in (no kidding, we pulled back the sheets to find out the mattress brand), and a large bathroom with a shower with plenty of room for 2. It’s about a mile from the lower part of town which is hilly so wear comfortable shoes, but which also makes it very quiet for leisurely mornings. Also, if you don’t feel like a walk, there’s a little general store right next door that sells beer and wine and has a small deli counter with good sandwiches. Next door to that is a restaurant that does takeout but we didn’t get a chance to try it. Also, out back is “The Barns” which seemed to be a tavern and had a lively Sat. crowd - which I can assure you was completely silenced by the thick stone walls of the Inn. The complimentary breakfast at the Inn was delicious and filling and the coffee was pretty okay. We absolutely loved our stay and recommend it highly.

Awesome 250 year old B&B. Great location near historic sites but out of the hustle and bussel of the downtown district.

Nice place to stay in harpers ferry. Clean and cozy . We stayed in the loft at the barn it was comfortable and private . There is a tavern that runs below Wich could be nice for entertainment or to noisy depending on your preference. The tavern was not open during our stay however. The loft and barn is in a separate building from the Inn itself.

Suite 3 is spacious and clean, inn was historic but renovated. Only about 10-15 minute walk from the lower town/park. Breakfast was delicious!

This was one of the only BNB's with a vacancy for the weekend we were arriving and it was a great stay. Some of the suites are in the older guest houses, others are in a newer (i.e., more recently renovated) area. We stayed in suite 2, which is on the second floor next to suite 1 in the older part of the home. We liked it a lot, even the crooked floors, due to its authenticity. There was plenty of space and tall ceilings, a very comfortable king bed (not crooked like I read in one review), and a private bath attached, and tv. The only negatives were that the blinds weren't very dark, the windows go onto the street, and the walls are not super thick so you may here so noise if you are a light sleeper. Then there's breakfast, which was great and consisted of egg-based, protein (bacon/sausage), bread-based and fruit each of the two mornings we were there, plus nice strong coffee. Our chef was very polite and outgoing, and she had breakfast split into two times due to the full house for Covid reasons in the dining area. One of the best parts is that you are directly across the parking lot from the Barn, a great bar that has live music and stays open until 11pm on weekends while other Harpers Ferry bars close at 9pm (Light Horse Inn is just across the town line in Bolivar). It's about a 15-minute walk to High Street and made for a good warm up for our hiking on the Maryland Heights trail. I would recommend this place to everyone.
