The place was perfect. We attending a friend's wedding. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.
When choosing your wedding venue, you can't go wrong with the Black Horse Inn! The grounds are just beautiful and there are so many incredible options for photo locations. I absolutely LOVED the sunroom in the bridal suite - having lots of natural light is so important for those getting ready pictures! Lynn was amazing to work with; she was super friendly and responsive, and everything about the day flowed smoothly. My wedding couple was so excited to take photos with the horses - definitely a unique feature you won't find at most venues. Highly recommend the Black Horse Inn for anyone planning their wedding day!
The manager Michelle was incredibly helpful and kind, helped me figure out ideas for our reception decorating, as well as a timeline, That and of course the venue is gorgeous! unfortunately we could not have our reception there because of covid, but I highly recommend it!
It's a shame I can only give five stars. The Black horse In is easily worth ten. Waking up in such a gracious home in the Virginia countryside makes me wonder why I live in the city. The home is exquisitely appointed and the staff made us feel like this was actually our own home and not a hotel. I don't want to leave.
Lynn (Owner) and Debbie (Inn keeper) were absolutely fantastic in every aspect imaginable. They were incredibly welcoming, hospitable, and made our stay simply magical. The Burgundy Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Lynn recommended a fantastic restaurant (Claire’s at the Depot) and Debbie booked us a private horseback trail ride through Marriott Ranch. The breakfast was superb, and just an all around great experience. We will definitely be back because of Lynn and Debbie!
