Are you searching for a perfect getaway? Well congratulations - you’ve just stumbled upon Virginia’s best kept secret!nnEvery single one of these 5-star reviews is spot on. The rooms, the hospitality, the location, the delicious breakfast. Not to mention our incredible hosts, Kristen and Phil (joined by pups, Nina and Niko - equally amazing hosts!) It was really a perfect weekend.nnWe fell in love with the Black Dog Farm Inn at Mt Welby and will absolutely be back again!

The Black Dog Farm Inn was the most perfect getaway for my friends and me. We had a mom's night away and then our daughters joined us for a mother/daughter night the following night. There are so few things to do during COVID and this was the perfect thing! The house is absolutely stunning and the surrounding property and animals made us feel like we were in another world. The innkeepers Kristen and Phil could not have been sweeter. They taught our girls all about the farm and animals and made scrumptious meals for us. We cannot wait to go back!!!

My friend and I had a great stay at Black Dog Farm Inn last weekend! Kristen and Phil were wonderful hosts, providing us with many recommendations of surrounding vineyards, restaurants, and hikes, a wonderful home to relax in, and a delicious homemade breakfast! The home is beautiful and well kept, everything we could need for a stay (and a complimentary bottle of wine!) was provided in our room, and they were very professional, considerate, and attentive hosts. This was my first stay at a B&B, and my friend and I felt right at home. Enjoying some wine in the sunshine on the back patio while watching the goats roam around was definitely the highlight of our time. Would definitely recommend this Inn for anyone looking for a little escape from the chaos and those who want to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Simply amazing! What a beautiful property. The inn is very beautiful as are the grounds. Kristen and Phil were so hospitable and their two lovely dogs were a pleasure to play with. The inn is just perfect. Everything you would need is there. From personalized bath products to a fully stocked (free) mini bar of local items, bottle water, and snacks. Breakfast each morning is outstanding. Kristen is a great chef! She also took us to meet the goats and horses and join in for their morning feeding. We couldnt have asked for a better stay. We will certainly be back very soon!
