Days Inn by Wyndham Roanoke Civic Center

Edit: Nearly 9 months later I forgot to add a crucial detail. The lady at the reception desk my last day was very kind and pleasant to deal with.nnThe most positive thing about this hotel is its proximity to the convention center. Everything else is a disaster. Customer service was near nonexistent at night, the outside of the hotel is trashed throughout with litter and glass. This place is downright filthy, and I can near guarantee I would have had a better experience sleeping in my car on the side of the highway than staying here again. Will be staying at a different hotel from now on.

Price, location good.nTowels and light bulbs missing from room.nPlease bring back laundry and breakfast.

The only nice thing I have to say about this hotel, is the staff is very friendly and apologetic knowing there is nothing they could do to fix most of the problems. We booked a king two room suite with jacuzzi in room. Well the website pictures must be at least 20 years old, because this place looks nothing like the pictures. Only two flat pillows for a king bed ( we was able to get two more), only two towels for three guest ( we was told they had no more towels), the TV did not work at all ( we was told several rooms had no TV as if that made it right) maintenance did come to our room but told us the internet (no WiFi) was down and there was nothing he could do. The refrigerator hummed and never got cold, there was No shower curtain, hair dry or coffee pot ( as advertised). Vent covers, electrical junction boxes and light covers were all missing. There was mold on the ceiling in several places, carpet was stained everywhere, the lock on the door was busted, ice machine nor drink machine worked. The phone in the room did not even work, had to use my cell phone to call front desk.. People fighting in the walkways all night. The manager was not available, we was told she would be in the next morning if we would like to speak to her, but when she did come in she told us there was nothing she could do. We was only here for a few hours but it goes without saying we will not be back.

I would not give this place a 1-star. Did not stay. They took my money. Would not give me a refund. All three rooms at checked out. We're filthy. Someone use the bathroom on the elevator never was cleaned up. Definitely would not recommend.
