My wife and I stayed in the Raven's Roost over Easter Weekend 2021. It was our very first experience staying in a true Bed & Breakfast. We're typically averse to staying somewhere with shared spaces, (She's a VERY light sleeper - ear plugs and a white noise machine do the trick) but the Roanoke Boutique Hotel has changed our minds!nIf you’re reading this review, please consider a stay with Diane (Owner and Hostess) & Frankie (her sweet pup). The house is beautiful, spacious, quiet and in a great location.nDiane’s eye for design is just as amazing as her breakfast. Honestly, it's worth the stay just to experience her cooking. (Vegetarian, but not Vegan friendly)nWe can’t wait to find a reason to visit again!

Beautiful home and Diane is a wonderful host who can cook! Breakfast was amazing, with brie on a toasted raisin bread, yogurt with fresh blackberries, and some vegetables. We stayed in Ravens Roost after a day of mountain biking, and it was very comfortable. We were also able to walk to a brewery and Tacos for dinner.

My husband and I were in Roanoke with our grandson for hockey. We stayed in The Beverley and it was wonderful. The bed was so comfortable and the kitchen was a plus. Fun place to play cards! Diane prepared a delicious breakfast for us and we so enjoyed our conversation with her. Added bonus was Frankie, her sweet puppy. Our grandson has a new friend! We look forward to a return visit.

My husband and I stayed in the Raven's Roost one evening recently. Diane was pleasant and check-in was swift and easy. We really enjoyed the front porch in the evening as well as for breakfast the next morning. It is certainly a convenient location to downtown. While we found the space itself (what we saw of the whole house) to be quite nice and lived up to the photos, there were several shortcuts in the details. For example, the light switches were labeled in handwritten sharpie (printed labels are easy to make and look much more stylish) and there was a piece of black duct tape across the faucet of the claw foot tub for some reason which detracted from its beauty. Additionally, when we were looking for shampoo and soap (we assumed it would be provided) we found several unlabeled bottles (had no idea what was shampoo, conditioner or body wash) in the vanity that had been refilled with what seemed to be cheap products, instead of something a bit more luxurious you would expect from a boutique hotel. With a bit more attention to detail, Roanoke Boutique Hotel would have earned five stars.

My husband and I had a great time in Roanoke and Diane’s B&B is the perfect place to stay! Super close to downtown and the greenway. We felt as if we were a part of the neighborhood and right at home. Diane was an amazing host, gave us great recommendations and made amazing breakfast every morning. We loved eating outside on the porch and enjoying the quiet historic neighborhood in the morning. Ladies, there are powerful hair dryers in the rooms so leave yours at home.
