I don’t normally like B&Bs because you never know what you are going to get but in this case we hit jackpot. The house is over 8,000 square feet and every room is gorgeous. What makes this place however are the owners. Lynn was delightful helping us with the reservation but unfortunately we did not get to meet her due to an unforeseen event. Jack however more than made up for her absence. He is so much fun and very welcoming. In fact, my husband spent more time with him than he did exploring Roanoke! Jack was also incredibly kind to our dog feeding her lots of treats. We will definitely be back!
Better than we even expected! The house is wonderful. As others have commented, the bedrooms are larger than what the pictures showed. The location is very convenient. Lynn and Jack make this place special and treat guests like family. We used this as our home base for exploring the Virginia portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were thrilled that we stayed there. Highly recommend!
We loved our stay at the King George Inn! Lynn and Jack made our experience worthwhile! The food was excellent, and the room and house were clean and beautiful! We loved sitting down and talking with Lynn about the history of the area and of the house itself! We will definitely be coming back!!
Had never been to a bed and breakfast before, this was a fantastic first experience. The host was wonderful and had great recommendations for what to do and see nearby. Room was nice and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious!
The house was beautiful and clean, with larger rooms than I expected. The caretakers, Lynn and Jack, are lovely people who made my husband and I feel very welcome and comfortable. The food was exceptional, especially the fried green tomatoes, fresh from the garden!
