I have found the perfect mountain escape at The Cedar Post Inn. Sally is so welcoming and accommodating...she makes you feel like family. The house has beautiful mountain views from every room. You can hear the mountain stream from the lovely back deck. The room was very clean and extremely comfortable. Sally cooks a delicious homemade breakfast each morning. I had an amazing time and can't wait to visit again!

Sally was an amazing hostess! Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfasts were delicious. She gave us a nice map that showed local spots to dine at as well. Don’t hesitate to stay here! It’s a great spot to explore the Blue Ridge Mountain area!

My wife and I stayed two nights there recently.nThe location is great for access to Bedford, Lynchburg and the mountains. The house is beautiful and well thought-out. He room was nicely furnished and clean. Sally is an excellent hostess. She gave us helpful advice about where to hike and eat. I was impressed with her extra efforts to make our stay most pleasant.nWe want to return ASAP.

The perfect hiking location! A friend and I stayed at Cedar Post Inn for one night to hike Terrapin Mountain (an awesome hike). I only wish we could have stayed longer. Sally was the most welcoming host, offering great advice for local hikes, as well as other things to do. There are plenty of activities in the area, whether your interests lie in nature, history, or wine. We were really glad to easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway if we wanted it, but to also have access to great hikes with the same stellar views as from the parkway only without any crowds. We saw no one on the Terrapin hike and it was so peaceful to come back to the inn at the end of a long day. The view from the inn is spectacular, and I imagine it's lovely to sit on the porch in the summer.nnOur room itself was fantastic. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, etc. We also appreciated having access to a fridge in the common area. Will be back for sure!
