Mostly pleasant experience. Walls are paper thin. Room 100 very noisy on all sides. Needs basic maintenance. Lock on back door was patch-work temp half-*** fix. Hallway side-door card security access failed while there. Anyone could walk in from restaurant parking lot. All else good. Clean. Staff friendly, helpful, and masked.

Low rating because with the exception of the front desk staff, all of the hotel employees we encountered--office staff and cleaning staff--were unmasked. It was really disturbing that the staff would not take the simple yet effective step of wearing masks, especially knowing that they were possibly in the room where we were sleeping and in the common areas through which we had to pass; if it had not been too late in the day when we checked in and first observed all of this for my partner and I to reasonably drive home, we would not have stayed.nnAll of this being said, the front desk staff were informative and pleasant, the surfaces in our room appeared to be relatively clean, and it is very convenient to downtown Chincoteague, so if the inability to adhere to one of the simplest and most effective methods of limiting transmission of covid doesn't bother you, have at it, I guess.

This place is so nice, right on the water next to a great seafood restaurant. It's very clean, which is super important to me. Also the front desk staff is awesome. All the staff was great but particularly Joel was so nice to us and is basically the epitome of a customer service professional. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable while making sure other guests went undisturbed since we had stayed up a bit late in the lobby. I would 100% stay here again!
