Norblad Hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the Norblad. We loved that you could get a loaner record player for the room. The shared bathrooms and showers were clean and didn’t bother us at all. The nightly price was amazing! Maybe they were running a special when we booked but the value was great. It’s true that the walls are thin as it’s an old, historic hotel in the middle of downtown (so you do hear street noise) but none of that posed any problem for us at all. They provide ear plugs which is great if you’re a light sleeper. The bed was super comfortable and the location was within walking distance to everything we needed. Jerome was so friendly and accommodating at our check-in. The only things that would have been nice to have in the room: a small refrigerator, some extra hooks for hanging towels/coats, and more hangers in the closet. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the minimalism of the room. Overall, a great stay!

This is a very charming hotel. Very close to everything in town. We wanted to check out local breweries and this was perfect for walking. Beautiful architecture and lovely views. It is a historic building so it carries some challenges with acoustics. They do provide ear plugs if needed. Staff was friendly. I would love to go back.

Stopped in for a quick night before a longer term rental and it did not disappoint. The rooms are sparse, but clean, easy to get settled into, and the service was truly lovely. Special thanks to Cisco who gave me an exhaustive list of good food and beverage stops in Astoria. Brought my dog and they treated him like royalty. Great stay. Thank you!

I've stayed at the Norblad several times and I strongly recommend it. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of natural light, designed simply but with the amenities I need. The location is great and the service has always been friendly and helpful, including during this trip.The rooms with shared bathrooms are a particularly good value.

I loved the simplicity and spaciousness of our room. Loved the BIG windows! The amenities were just what we needed - nothing more. It felt rejuvenating to be without a tv and to be in a non-cluttered room. Thank you Norblad staff! :)
