Comfort Suites Columbia River

As a local, I have stayed at the Astoria location multiple times in the past as a quick getaway with a pool. But I was both appalled and angry when I went to check in on April 1st, 2021, because I was informed by the employee at the front desk that there was a new policy of the hotels, that says they aren't allowed to rent rooms to locals. I had already paid $310 for a two night stay and took the time to pack and drive 25 minutes from my place to the hotel. The employee said she would cancel the reservation and refund my money and I politely told her that there was zero chance I would ever support a business that forbids letting locals use there services! This has got to be one of the most asinine rules I have ever come across.

Such an awesome place to stay!! Mandy at the front desk is so very helpful, kind and accommodating. Our room was exactly what we wanted and super convenient. 100% would stay here again and will be recommending to others.

Clean rooms and friendly staff

We could bring our dogs (2 small and 1 big) to stay there with us. Great room. 20 minutes to the beaches. We would love to come back!

Very large & clean hotel, but you will hear sea lions early in the morning. The check in was very quick! Would definitely recommend to people visiting town.
