Monarch Mountain Lodge

Rob was extremely helpful. My family and I wanted to stay and ski 2 days at Monarch but I had to work at 1:30 the second day. I called and spoke with Rob who assured I could use a private room, even after checkout, to conduct my class. He said my family could hang out at the pool and continue to utilize the fun of the hotel. The customer service makes this hotel our go-to choice. This isn't the first time we've stayed here and it won't be the last. It's clean, cost effective and has the character of an old ski-town resort. Love it!

This place is amazing. Indoor pool outdoor hot tub game room with video games pool table ping pong table, racquetball course. We got one of the rooms with a sort of terrace on the back side w beautiful view. Wifi worked great the whole time TVs with direct TV and some movie channels was great. Room was just great blankets very comfortable. Our experience was apparently much better than many reviewers here...anyway amazing time we will be recommending to friends and coming back!

Candy and Michael at the front desk helped us upgrade our room to one with a balcony, everyone is super friendly. The indoor pool isn't very warm but good. Cute little cat in the gym. Room is very clean and comfortable. Thank you Candy and Michael!

Just know I'm advance the place is dated. However it's very convenient to the ski lodge. It's clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. However, because it's a dated property, don't expect the shower temperatures to be consistent, there are no convenient wall outlets. And the wall outlets that exist are worn out so often times your power supply plugs don't make a good connection and just fall out of the wall. A good place to sleep. The pool is clean. Price is good for the location. The breakfast and the restaurant was good as well.

Monarch Mountain Lodge was a HORRIBLE experience! We never originally planned to stay here and are sorry that we did. The first comment made by a family member was that this place was straight out of The Shining movie. Overall, the worst was the dealings with the owner and her micromanagement style of the staff and greediness to get all the money that she can. We originally paid for our room on a travel site, then arrived to find out that they didn't have that room. They put us in two rooms that they couldn't rent to anyone else because they were under maintenance with broken windows and one room's heater wouldn't shut off and the room was well above 80 degrees. All was okay until 11PM (5 hours later) when they awoke us to tell us that we had to pay $100 more or leave. (The worst customer service we have ever experienced!)nThe room itself was never cleaned the next day and had guests above and below in which you could hear the people walking around, talking, dogs barking, and babies crying. We didn't eat in the restaurants as they seemed filthy and we wouldn't chance it. The decor was extremely outdated and definitely used and abused. The wifi was only available in the common area by the front desk (not in the room). On a positive note, the room was clean, our children enjoyed the pool, and the staff (all seemed to dislike the owner as well) were nice . We will NEVER stay here and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Save your money, get sleep, and enjoy another place.
