The stay at this inn was just what we needed. Yes, the room might not be the most updated, but it does have a certain charm. The bathroom is shared but I never saw another individual or had to wait, and it was clean which is what’s important. The porch is usable (another user below said it wasn’t which is not true). The walk to town is 20 minutes, but me and my boyfriend rented bikes (only $25a day) and did not have A problem getting anywhere and never had to buy a taxi. There are 2 food spots and 1 bar within walking distance so you will not need to go into town at night to eat. Overall, great stay for the price as it was 50% cheaper than staying in town. If you’re a young professional or college aged individual you will find nothing wrong with this hotel so please ignore the strongly worded reviews below. Also if you’ve ever stayed in a hostel you will be perfectly fine at this inn.

The hotel is in horrible shape. There were bugs all over the breakfast. Wanted to leave from the second we got there. Located far from the fairy and the cab trips there and back to the beach make up the difference in staying in any other hotel. No T.V, WiFi, or air conditioning. Even the one T.V they had in the living room was broken. Never would stay again. Would recommend paying the difference and going to the national hotel.

I will come back and explain later but I'll tell you right now zero Covid precautions taken. No housekeeping. Where's the owner? I can't believe the health department let's this place stay open. The minute I walked in I said this place is a fire hazard. The power kept going out every 30 minutes all night long I had to keep getting up to put the fan back on. The window doesn't open wide enough for the breeze. The outside is the best part of the place but please don't go here. A little paint goes a long way! This poor building is going to fall and a piece of History will be lost and then eyesore will be standing on the beautiful Block Island

HOUSEKEEPERS STEAL FROM ROOMS!!!nDO NOT STAY!!nnMy husband and I checked in around 3pm, left all our stuff in the room (locked it) and went to the beach. 3 hours later we come back and my husband's engagement ring, Apple IWatch and a platinum ring was stolen from the night stand in our room. (We were the only people staying in the main house, except the housekeeper) don't stay here unless you want to be ROBBED and fill out POLICE FORMS!!

I had a great time here. I would go back any day. The breakfast buffet was awesome and all the waitstaff incredibly nice. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an affordable place that still exists on this beautiful island ♥ufe0f
