The Brooklyn

The room was nice and spacious however, The room was NOT CLEANED, upon cleaning the room ourselves we found cups IN the pullout couch, there were spoons and other things found under the table in eye view of entering. Couch is very stained up. When checking in the “manager” was VERY rude and when asked for corporates number he says “ I’m not going to give you that”. I drove about 3 hours to come and celebrate my daughters birthday and if it weren’t for this reason, I would’ve just stayed home. I’ve stayed a lot of places but I was very disappointed in this one.

I have stayed in this hotel both when it first opened a few year's ago, and again a few weeks ago. They have changed a bit the place looks worn and could use a little bit of tender love and care. Over all I still love this hotel! It's perfect for the price, and if you don't need a bunch of fancy over priced bells and whistles, The Brooklyn is a great place to stay. A lot of other reviews spoke about smelling weed smoke in the halls, and other negative aspects that they experienced, that was not my experience here at all. I had a very comfortable stay here and I hope you will also.

I booked a hotel for a photo shoot for my birthday check then and I’ll let the staff know I would only be there about two hours even though I booked it for the whole day upon check out I handed the reception back my key card and he told me everything was fine and I can check out two days later I seen a $700 transaction from the hotel I called the hotel to find out what was going on and apparently the reception never checked me out someone else checked into my room stayed an extra day in the hotel charge me for everything they never gave me a call and told me about the mistake and when I called and ask what would be done the reception told me nothing could be done for me and I would just have to wait for the money to get back on my card this is a big inconvenience the hotel never called me and told me what was going on I had to find out from my bank statement that they charge me an extra $700 on top of the $260 I had to pay for my day. Never booking again. And I’ll be sure Make a review for my YouTube channel about this disappointed.

The Brooklyn hotel hosted us for a photo shoot we did. Their general manager made sure we had everything we needed. The suite we had was amazing. This hotel is a jewel. Anyone visiting New York this is a great place to stay.
