The Mainstay

The place is an experience of its own in the heart of Southampton Village. Close to restaurants and beaches, shopping and cultural centers. Historical house, puts you back in time from architecture to choice of interior. The property is for sale. Could use a landscape make over, everything is just overgrown not the prestige Hampton's Landscape. Enormous amount of potential for the lucrative future buyer. Could be a charmer. Needs lots of TLC.

We just recently stayed at the Mainstay Inn for Thanksgiving. Our families had a wonderful time. We had twenty people to accommodate and the Inn had all the amenities and rooms to to make us all feel at home. The inn is full of historic charm, with a great corner lot for our kids to spend time outside in the yard. The Mainstay Inn's proximity to town was very convenient. Many of us enjoyed walking Southampton and taking in the great shops and restaurants. All the kids enjoyed the great movie theater downtown on a cold rainy evening. I would certainly recommend the Mainstay Inn for any family or friends gathering looking to capitalize on all the best activities the Hampton's have to offer! I certainly hope our families Thanksgiving plans for 2019, find us all back at the Mainstay Inn.

My girlfriends and I have stayed at The Mainstay twice and both times were lovely. It was exactly what we expected from a Hamptons B&B. The silly poodles welcome you at the door, the rooms are airy and bright, and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Elizabeth is a thoughtful host and worked with us last minute to get our group of 6 into a suite that would be comfortable. I recommend this place for someone looking for a casual getaway without the pretentiousness that can sometimes be found out east.

My husband and I needed a last minute spot in September. There was luckily a room that was in our price range. The house is old but has that character that most people look for. We stayed in a private room that had its own entrance off the back. It was very small but in a very cute and cozy way. The entire decor and supplies were more than enough. It gave me so many decoration ideas for my new home. The owner is very sweet and friendly. I would definitely go back.
