Bowen's By the Bays

Overall we had a pleasant time. Nice grounds, tennis court, pool area.nHowever, as someone who works in the service industry, I felt the service was pretty terrible. Staff was rather rude when we arrived and when we inquired about late check out.nBeds were very uncomfortable and bedrooms were very dark and dated.nMosquitos were also bad (not the hotels fault but just an FYI)nFor the expensive price we paid, we didn’t feel like this place met our expectations.

This place is awesome !! I have stayed here at least once or twice a year for the last eight years . The grounds are gorgeous, the pool is awesome. The rooms are quaint and cozy and very clean each with their own personality. They are pet friendly. There is a Stop & Shop conveniently located across the street where you can load up on food and drinks before you get here. A little piece of paradise when you’re used to the hustle and bustle of city life every day! What more could you ask for with two gracious hosts to top off your stay. I definitely will be coming back here again !

Super quaint and very comfy, when I say comfy I mean awesome!!! They have everything. Awesome pool, hammocks even a nice shuffleboard! Close to town and easy drive to every where. If you want a nice cozy and not crazy busy place to stay this is a great choice. They have a little fridge to use. They even have a nice stuffed animal doll on the bed that was a nice touch.nnI must mention we stayed in a lodging room similar to a hotel room but they have very nice looking cottages sprinkled about the property that look very nice. We plan on coming back and trying them out.nnThank you team at Bowen's at the bay for such a great stay! You did a great job with this place.

No phone in the room and it would be nice if we knew there was a train that runs about 50 feet from the cottage we were in. Otherwise, the service is awesome and the cute welcome bag with bottled water and candy was a nice touch. The bathroom was nice, and the place was very cute and clean. Kitchen has nice dishes and pots, pans, and silverware. Overall, very happy.nP.S. Train didn't run after 11 p.m. and wasn't disruptive, in my opinion, but it is something you should be aware of. My 3 year old loved it. LOL

Courteous staff. Comfy beds. Nice grounds overall. Yeah, there's the sound of trains passing nearby at night but it's not a big deal. Just bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The cottage experience has been pretty great overall. Perfect for a family or small group of friends.
