Gray House

We stayed at the Gray House for 2 nights, 9/1 and 9/2, 2015. The house is beautifully appointed, very clean, and conveniently located for walking in the area. Since there were no other guests during our stay, we had the house to ourselves. However, I was not informed in advance that although breakfast is available, it is self-serve. The food, and access to the kitchen are available, but it is strictly do-it-yourself. In addition, we were asked if we wanted clean towels for the second day, which we declined, but were not informed that housekeeping services were not included. In other words, the beds were not made up when we left for the day. In addition, the host and hostess were essentially in absentia - I had some questions about area activities, but they were nowhere to be found. I even called their phone number (they live next door), reached an answering service, left a message, but no return call ever came through. While sitting on the front porch in the evening, the owners passed by. I asked a question about an area festival, and was told they would look into it and get back to me. That did not happen. Sorry, but we have to cross this house off of our list.

This feels just like home except I get served a wonderful, nourishing breakfast here! Beautiful, comfortable accommodations.
