If you can, I highly, highly encourage you not to book at Chelsea Pines Inn. I had a reservation with them, booked in advance, and they called me at the very last second (about an hour away from checking in) to let me know they weren’t going to have my room ready and I couldn’t check in until the following day.nThey were not willing to figure out a way to get my room ready that night (even if I was willing to give them whatever time they needed), they were not willing to put me up in another hotel for the night so they could wait to clean the room the following day, they were not willing to let me speak to a manager nor were they willing to make any other sort of compromise so that I could stay as planned.nnThis last minute decision of theirs left me without anywhere to spend the night.nnSo while I can’t give you details on the actual hotel itself (since I didn’t get to stay) know that their business practices and customer service are terrible. If you choose them, you could be left scrambling to find a new place. Save yourself the stress and just book elsewhere.

Cute little place to stay! Cannot beat the location or the price. Great subway access, in the heart of a very walkable area. It is a walkup so prepare yourself for that but the room is perfectly adequate. The AC is weak so I had a warm night's sleep, not my fav. It has a ton of charm and friendly staff. BYO toiletries tho, so prepare for that, or there's a CVS right around the corner.

Cozy little place, there is no elevator and 4 floors so be prepared to walk a few flights . Had the Queen Bed Room for a few days. Has free wifi and a TV, although the T.V signal can be dodgy at times. Bathroom is pretty small and our shower light didn't work. Other than that. The amenities are great for its price. Because of COVID-19, the free breakfast wasn't available, so if you're planning to stay here for a few days, make sure to buy some food. The mouthwash and soap is standard hotel items so not much to say.

Worst stay, ever. Stuffy. TV didn't work, dingy as hell. Retro decur. U should take off of the list.

Never staying there again. Cute older hotel in a great location, but in addition to steep stairs (no elevator), there were stains on walls and bedding, temp issues in room (too hot!) and shower (freezing or scalding, no in-between), and on returning the 2nd night, the security door was left open and the inner door was missing its handle entirely! I've stayed at older hotels before, but cleanliness and security are a must.
