I loved it. It was like going back in time to the golden age of New York. You can't get a better location. Even staying for just a night, I got to know the staff. They seemed to be happy to accommodate any need and were very attentive. The hotel is very well maintained and appointed. The views are spectacular.
Gorgeous hotel right off of Central Park. Unfortunately I didn't get to stay there but went there for dinner for my engagement. The food tasted amazing and the staff were incredibly attentive. Would 100% recommend.
Fabulous place! A colleague of mine had the pleasure to be accommodated in a twin room viewing Manhattan and the view was amazing from our floor. I also was stunned by the view from the bar at the top of the building (I’m a huge fan of cityscapes and modern architecture).nWe were there for three nights and none of us wanted to leave at the end. I was astonished by the luxurious design and furniture. It felt like a 19th century French or German palace. I was really fascinated that our room had a fireplace. I’m a person from a rather hot state and always get impressed when I see one. Also, the furniture was in a vintage style that gave the room a royal notion.nThe hotel is located on a communicative spot and I really liked the area, due to the lack of day-to-day NY rush and the close location of some neat places like the two museums and Maddison Avenue. I never thought that there is such a relaxed place in NY’s heart.nThe staff was friendly, helpful and very fast, without being rushed or impolite and I really loved their attitude towards all of the guests. Top class!nThe restaurant was worthy of its level, as well. The meals were amongst the finest that we’ve ever had.
I am giving the Pierre 5 stars because of how it was as a hotel years ago. I ate at the Cafe Pierre from 1978 to 1994. It was one of the 3 best restaurants in Manhattan. I stayed at the Pierre from 1989 to 1991 seven times, one night to a maximum of five nights. It was the only hotel I ever went to. What happened to the old Pierre? The last time I stayed there was Easter weekend in 1991. It was owned by the Four Seasons company. They did a good job, welcoming a kid from North Arlington, New Jersey. The food at the Cafe Pierre was New York, just the best. Even better than the old Waldorf Astoria. Now, it's all A Taj hotel? What happened? I know that half of the building was hotel and the other half condo. Why A Taj hotel company? I'm glad I was there for the old Four Seasons Pierre Hotel and the wonderful Cafe Pierre. I haven't heard anything good about this new hotel company, A Taj, at all. I hope it's good. Michael.
The Pierre is a luxury hotel located at 2 East 61st Street, at the intersection of that street with ... After Pierre arrived in New York as a 25-year-old immigrant, he made his first ... Taj Hotels is part of India's Tata Group.nThis 41-storey Taj hotel boasts a superb location in Lenox Hill, luxury apartment-like rooms and suites with sweeping views of Central Park.
