Residence Inn by Marriott New York Manhattan/Midtown East

It's fine. As with most New York hotels expect less value for money than anywhere else. These rooms are small compared to Residence inns elsewhere across the country. Our room was in fine condition. Everything is just very tight space wise. Nevertheless the bathroom was seemingly recently renovated, and the bed was comfortable with relatively new linen. Iron and ironing board in good condition. Breakfast options were ok, with a spread of healthy options. The gym in the hotel is basic with a simple cable machine, 2 benches, max 50lb DB only and a near handful of treadmills (If you're into the lab rat workout life). If I am forced to visit NY again, will probably stay here.

If you are looking for a short term or long term stay in New York, you cannot go wrong with the Midtown East / Residence Inn Marriott.nnAs a displaced New Yorker and health care worker who is caring for patients during the pandemic this hotel has been my home away from home.nThis hotel is well maintained, extremely safe and the guest rooms are very clean and spacious.nnThere is an onsite laundry room conveniently located on the lower level next to the gym and has plenty of is coin operated washers, driers and space to fold your clothes.nnIt also helps that everything you need from various local grocery stores (Whole Foods), pharmacies, coffee shops, public transportation, restaurants, high end shopping, and Central Park all within a short walk 10 to 15 minute walk.nnBut by far the best part of this hotel is the staff who keep it running safely! They are all extremely hospitable and trustworthy.nThe assistant general manager Brittany along with her front desk team including, Angela, Xelina, Claudia, Renee and Charlie will happily accommodate you to the best of their ability, whether that involves accepting a package, food delivery or arranging the best check in and/or out time. They all take pride in their job and will go out of their way to ensure you have a comfortable stay! By far the best Marriott for an extended stay in Manhattan. Enjoy!

This place is a joke. After we do the reservation we end up finding that there’s a construction going on right in front of our room! We record a video to show the receptionist how awful and noisy is, basically impossible to be able to rest, the poor educated receptionist just told us in a rude way that there was nothing she can do about, that we can just cancel the reservation and find another place to stay. Paying 200$ the night to have a noisy dirty room and poor and really bad costumer service. I guess that a nice suit doesn’t take the street from you cause this women was insane by talking back to us with horrible manners just to let us know how other people have never complain about the horrible noise. Just take a look at the recents reviews. This place is a waste of money, abusive employees with lack of respect towards others.

As soon as you open the door to your room you can just relax. The rooms and hotel are so clean and the washing machines are quality (if you need to do laundry). It was much easier to take a breath and get work done here that at other hotels.
