Jazz on The Park Hostel

Exceeded expectations in every category. Check in was a breeze, room was a nice size and very clean and upscale. Ordered room service and it was delivered hot, in no time at all. Tasty club sandwich and crisp fries. The room was quiet despite being in the heart of the city. The towels were plentiful, water hot, pressure great, and everything was spotless. Bed comfortable. Valet attendants very nice as well as hotel staff. I can't wait to return!

This may have been one of the best hostel experiences I have ever had! The location is PERFECT to get to the subway on 103rd street, and the park is literally a 2 minute walk away from the hostel. The staff is beyond welcoming and kind and want to ensure that you make the most out of your New York experience. Maia (hey girl) was so very helpful to me in providing recommendations on what to see and the best ways to get to different locations around the city. And Zack assisted me in changing rooms when there was an issue with the lock on the door. Ok! If I had such an amazing experience, then why only give it four stars, you may be asking. The ONLY reason this is the case is because when I arrived the door to the room I was in was broken. You could clearly see that the door was cracked, and anyone who wanted to enter could easily do so. When I went to switch rooms because of this security issue, I was told that all the other female rooms were fully booked and that I would have to upgrade to a single room. I had to pay $35 additional dollars when I felt like it should have been free of charge because I was not responsible for the lock malfunction and should not have been penalized for it. Also pack light because the lockers are small in the shared rooms. But I'm definitely going to be staying here again when I return to the Big Apple (munch munch).

None of the things I'm used to (like TV and microwave) but has clean areas and friendly staff. Rooms are non-smoking. I had a bunk bed room that was soft and didn't squeak. The room was a little cold.

Awesome amenities for price. I enjoy staying at this location when need be; the front desk staff are friendly, respectful and understanding. They give you clean sheets and a warm blanket for your stay. The housekeeping is exceptional, they come and change the garbages and sheets often. The showers are public but remain clean and smell like bleach which is a PLUS mid covid. I'd definitely recommend this place to someone traveling to New York or just looking for a warm place to stay for a night.
