Came here to update my hiking gear (new boots, bigger pack, the whole nine yards) and everyone here was so kind and helpful even when I had a million and one questions. They were definitely doing their best to provide everyone great service despite covid protocols complicating the process (ex: fitting for a pack). Can't wait to come back!

Everything kind of felt picked over and vacant. Mind you, this is during COVID, so it's understandable. The staff was very friendly, and I felt comfortable shopping there. I just didn't find what I was looking for based on the choices in front of me.

First visit —excellent help from sales on Nordic ski waxing. Inspired by the interaction, I visited the REI ski shop department. I explained that I wanted to rejuvenate a pair of skis that had been in garage storage for a few years so that I could use them. I paid $60 for a ski tune up and at pickup brought in the boots so they could turn a screwdriver and make sure my boots fit the bindings. I use these boots every week at Bristol Mtn on rental skis, where a technician adjusts the bindings. . REI refused to do this, which left me unable to use the tuned skis. In addition, selection was poor for Nordic poles (only one pair and size was too large) and ski boots (none). Despite the positive interaction from sales. I wish I’d never gone to REI. I’ve been here twice and still can’t ski.

I actually don't even give them (1) star. They did not service me because I have multiple medical conditions and cannot wear a mask above my nose. Both of my teenage sons were with me fully masked. They escorted me out of the store -humiliating!! I will never buy anything from REI sports again and I will be sure to tell all of my friends of my horrible experience. I purchase over $300 of goods from another store that had no issues with my medical condition. I am happy to take my business elseware!

First time there. Staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Signed up as a member, ordered items, and didn't feel pressured into a sale at all!
