Courtyard by Marriott Elmira Horseheads

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. I had the king bed with the wrap around couch and it was extremely comfy. Plus the hideaway cupboard with the fridge, microwave and food storage area was very creative. In a day and age when so many hotel rooms are cookie cutter this one is not. Plus staff was friendly, helpful and the whole place was very clean. Great hiking and museums a short drive away too.

I’m traveling across the US both ways and had made a decision to stay within the Marriott hotels during the trip. We’ve tried to primarily stay with them since I got my service dog and have had all great experiences. Last night after hours of driving, the front desk was welcoming and helpful. They did accidentally put items they offered to hold in the freezer in the fridge... so I might have lost all that food... but he was so much nicer than today’s staff.nnI approached the front desk to ask about late check out to be told, “we don’t allow animals here.” Quickly the general manager Amy came to join us in the front. Both were not kind or friendly or even trying to understand. They made inappropriate requests. I provided the needed information and offered to show even documentation which was declined. I was so uncomfortable that I immediately went to my room to get my things.nnWhen I came back, they were all smoking in the entrance immediately outside the front sliding doors. Came back in with rude attitudes again and never once was apologetic. I feel bad for the nice guy, because they said they were going to follow up with him. However he was very appropriate, kind and consistent with what I know to be Marriott.

I think this hotel is so worth every penny. My partner and I like to take weekend trips away from our hectic lifes, and this hotel Is everything! The rooms are so beautiful, and the showers are a dream every morning. Amazing staff. Recently had a bad hotel experience with another hotel ( Wanted to try something new...) we left there a hour into stay due to things being dirty, broken and bad staff. We found ourselves back at courtyard. Reminds me how much I love the staff. He gave us the cheapest price possible, and a great breakfast in morning. You guys rock

I enjoyed my stay. I loved the room. The only issue was the iron not heating up.

Tiffany the General manager, was very friendly and really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome! This was my first time staying, but I'll be back for sure. Very nice hotel.
