Love my new roof! The owner Glen was very helpful and informative. The job was done in a day and the crew was very meticulous about cleaning up. The price was very reasonable... and that makes me love my roof even more!
Until Next Wine with Fred Mullins (11/05/2019)
Extremely disappointing experience with Glenn and Armor Metal Roofing. We had Glenn and his crew install a new metal roof on our home the roof looks great and the crew was on time and completed the job in the time and cost quoted. 15 months later our roof was leaking badly. I called Galen immediately since our roof had a warranty and a guarantee. I contacted Glenn by email and by phone several times over the course of 4 days with no response. Glenn eventually called back after 5 days. Then proceeded to blame me since we have a chimney on our house and that’s where the leak was coming from. The leak was no where near the chimney the leak was on a different part of our roof over 30 feet from where the chimney is located. I went into the attic and up on the roof, literally no sign of water anywhere near the chimney, none. After I inspected the roof and chimney I reached out to Glenn. It took over a week to get a response. When I was finally able to speak with Glenn he said he would come out and take a look in a few days, he never showed up or returned follow up emails or phone calls pressing him to honor his work and word after he no showed. I had 3 separate contractors come out to inspect the issue all of whom install and repair metal roofing and all said the issue was caused by the roofer who didn’t install proper flashing, water guard and ice guard and also failed to reinstall the siding correctly which is what allowed the water to get in. The repair cost $2600. On top of this I also had to repair the ceiling where the roof had leaked which was a couple of days work for me as well. I couldn’t be more disappointed with the professionalism and the work performed by Armor Metal Roofing. Glenn didn’t stand by his work which proved to be below average and I had to shell out another $2600 just 15 months after paying $14,000 for roof that was supposed to have lifetime guarantee. There are plenty of other options for roofers in this area based on my experience I strongly urge you to avoid Glenn and Armor Metal Roofing.nnThis is a response to the owners reply below.nGlenn mis-represented the facts in his response below about me refusing to have his crew come out and inspect the work. We agreed on a day and time and no one showed up and there were no attempts to reschedule or communicate with me after that had happened. No one from Armor Roofing including Glenn ever came out to inspect the work, even though he set an appointment with me to do so. I took a half day off from work to keep this appointment. I of course tried to contact Glenn regarding this, he failed to return my calls and emails. My roof was leaking and the problem was getting worse and causing damage to the inside of my home. Since no one at Armor roofing including Glenn would come out to inspect or respond to repeated calls and emails to resolve the issue, I had no choice but to have another contractor repair what Armor roofing installed incorrectly. Know that I waited over 10 days for someone from Armor to call or email me after they failed to show up to inspect the problem before I had the repair done. Glenn describes what the exact problem was below but since no one from Armor roofing ever came out to inspect the issue how could he possibly know what the problem was? It’s important to note that all 3 separate contractors who inspected the issue all said it had absolutely nothing to do with chimney and that it wasn’t possible for the chimney to be the source of this problem moreover it was due improper installation by the roofing company. Glenn’s response below should tell you all you need to know, no accountability and a misleading account of what actually happened. I gain nothing by posting this review, this was my experience with Armor Roofing and felt it was important to share it.
