The owner is rude and creepy. While purchasing an overpriced helmet for myself, the owner lectured my young daughters on appropriate in store behavior ( even though they were patiently waiting and doing nothing wrong). The incident has had a lasting impression and scared my 3 year old. Definitely the worst bike shop on MV.

Not too sure how skilled the owner is at fixing bikes but if you want to be chastised for your lack of planning for your trip with a bike that needs a quick fix, by a pompous, arrogant, and condescending individual, this guy is your guy. The only way we could get him to shut the f up was to walk out of his establishment mid-pontification. He will tell you that he is the only bike service on the island when in fact, he is not. Edgartown Bikes happily fit us in the next day, knowing that we were here only briefly.nGo see Mike there, unless you’d like to be treated like a naughty child.n#karma #kma

Great experience! We got off the ferry and immediately noticed that one of our bikes was damaged. We were so worried our day would be ruined. We came to the shop and he saved the day! Within an hour and only $20 later, we were back on the road enjoying the beautiful weather. THANK YOU!

Flat tire repair on child's bike - charged over $100 including $65 of labor. Shop owner voluntarily added handlebar endcaps and tightened the handlebars. All appreciated but hard to look past the excessive cost of such a minor repair.

The owner is very knowledgeable and likes to educate his customers. That’s great, but he did not “educate” me regarding the true cost of the repairs my old bike needed to make it serviceable. When one asks how much a new wheel and chain will cost, making it clear that one is debating whether the bike is worth fixing, one expects a close estimate, not just the cost of parts. Instead of the $100 I was willing to spend, the bill, with labor, was close to $300. If I had known it would be so much, I might have junked the bike. Live and learn!
