Charming and non-pretentious hotel close to the beach. I'm a young professional working remotely and came up mid-week because I needed a change of scenery. Lovely owner and employees. Highly recommend!
It was excellent, because there weren't many other guests at this time. The room my boyfriend and I stayed in for 2 nights. That was room #15. We had no problems at all with any uncleanliness. Then I decided to pay for 2 more nights. I was moved to cottage #6. It's really cool, because it has ascreened in porch, and two chairs to sit out there. My only 2 complaints are 2 of the same I saw another reviewer mention. 1. MUST HAVE MINI COFFEE POTS ☕, please?!?! LOL! 2.There should be a clock or alarm clock. ⏰ud83dudd70
The cottages are cozy and secluded, perfect to return to after a day of activities. The staff worked very hard to make our stay comfortable. There is a nice outdoor space and it is in close proximity to the beach. I would stay here again!
Friendly family-run place with a variety of room options. We stayed in a 2-bedroom cottage which had a nice kitchen and plenty of space for sitting inside and on the picnic table outside. And the grounds, campfire, and pool were a great place for kids and adults to hang out. It's a short drive to the beach with free parking. The space between rooms and cottages and overall cleanliness made it feel very safe during the pandemic.
I would not recommend this place at all. We checked into the room, and it had a very bad smell. We went to the front desk immediately, saying that we did not want to stay there and asked for our money back. The receptionist said okay, and that she would process the return with no problem. A few days later, we looked at our account, and did not see a refund. We called them back, and they referred us to bookings.com. Bookings got in touch with the hotel separately, and said that the hotel refused to provide our money back, in spite of the fact that receptionist agreed to do so.nnApparently, the hotel would not refund the money on the basis that we had not reported the problem with the room, but had simply asked for the refund and indicated that we wanted to go someplace else. If the person at the front desk agreed to refund the amount, then there should be no problem. Why go back on their word?nnI would never recommend this place.
