It's a relief to see others stating they were treated horrible by management in these reviews- I cancelled a reservation and was refused a refund for any reason, and was treated terribly by staff and management, called names, gaslit, even emailed after asking for no further communication. Just awful, I would not recommend this place. And now I have a giftcard (because they would not refund my card and I was charged full price even though I cancelled within their time limits - their cancellation policy is unethical).... that I will never use because I have no desire to interact with this staff- ever. They are all about money, not worth the risk. They also have ignored my complaint through the better business bureau. Go elsewhere, much better hotels near by with kind, professional staff!

Excellent resort. The cleanest resort ever! Staff is friendly and helpful. Perfect spot for the area! Would love to return someday.

There are so many reasons why the Elmwood Resort earns 5 stars. For one, the staff is extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. The rooms are spotless, as a clean freak I am incredibly impressed. The rooms are homey, which is especially nice with children. We were not able to see all of the facilities due to COVID, but the outdoor pool is clean and refreshing. The resort is a close drive to multiple beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants. We are so happy that we stumbled upon the Elmwood Resort.

Stayed here multiple times very nice condo's they same associate at the front desk. She is very nice and great sense of humor. Every time. Well be back

This business is taking advantage of my family during this pandemic. We booked our summer vacation back in the winter unsuspecting of the seriousness of the virus. Recently, we called to cancel our trip, understanding their policy of a full refund with a $25 loss if we canceled 2 weeks before the trip date. HOWEVER, now they are refusing to refund our down deposit, instead, giving us a “gift card” good for 3 years. NOWHERE on their website does it say the new policy put in place for the pandemic, It was never discussed in an email, and they never contacted us. Instead, when we called asking for our money back, we spoke to Scott and Nancy and they said to us “Well we didn’t tell you HOW you’d be refunded. If there wasn’t a pandemic we would give you your money back.” That is so manipulative, why would anyone want a gift card to stay here here after being treated like this? In addition, these people put into their computer system that my mother has cancer, and would be very understanding if we had to cancel. She even said she would get a doctor’s note. Since she is immunocompromised, we can’t travel and be around other people. Apparently that was a lie. Shame on them.
