We had a great stay. The lodgings are clean and well kept up with a major effort to hold the historic charm. The owners, Martha and Eric, went out of their way to make us feel at home. I should also mention the breakfast were excellent.
We went for the waffles. Beautiful setting. The tiramisu waffle was spectacularly naughty. A must try!
We hosted a wedding dinner here a year ago for my son and his new wife. I have to say that it was one of the nicest experiences I've ever had. I really wasn't sure what to expect being that we were setting everything up by phone and email, arriving from 3,000 miles away, and with little knowledge of the area offerings. Of course we had high hopes that our dozen plus guests would enjoy a feast and setting befitting the occasion. Well, it exceeded all expectations. The setting was idyllic. The food was fabulous. The hostess, chef, and wait staff made us all feel like as if we were having an amazing dinner in our own home, but without the effort. It's been nearly a year and I'm still thinking about it with fond memories. It had to be great, eh?
