Hampton Inn Joliet - I-80

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Bagged breakfast provided in the morning.nThe not so good: The water tasted funny. Fortunately there's a vending machine but the elevator. Unfortunately the bottled water is sold out. Fortunately the staff at the front desk gave us complimentary bottles of water. In the morning, a couple of small ants found their way to the bathtub. It didn't bother me, but perhaps maintenance Can take care of that for future guests.

I am a Hilton member and have a lot of points. Luckily I asked if they had a room available before booking.... Because they didn't.nnI found the front desk staff to be rude and dismissive. It was 2 o'clock and when I asked if they had a room ready before I booked, she said no. I had to ask will she have one available soon? She said nope. Wow! She didn't even try to keep me as a customer. I ended up getting a room at one of the many choices within a stone throw.nnIt really is a shame someone like that represents Hilton.

The Hampton Inn was great. About 4:00 am my wife heard something and there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling we called the front desk to report the leak and the manager came up with the maintenance man. They were both great.

THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL. IT SHOULD NOT EVEN GET ONE STAR.nnSo very disappointed.nThe place is a covid hotbed. The hotel is non- compliant with their own covid guidelines. They advertise how they disinfect, seal your room etc.nWhen I checked in there were 2 men sitting at the lobby table. No masks. Bowl of fruit for anyone to take between them on the table. So they were breathing all over the food. An hour later there was another man. So now 3 people spreading germs and no masks. 6 hours later there were a group of high school aged people running around the first floor with no masks. This place may disinfect your room. But you have to get to the room first. The clerk on duty at the desk is doing nothing.nI called their 800 number to speak with someone, 1 hour and 45 minutes later I hung up as no one answered. Instead called the 800 reservation number. Within 10 minutes I had someone on the phone. She could not help but transferred me to a guest relations person. At this point it has been another 30 minutes on hold.nThey obviously can have enough people to take your money. But no one to help with issues at your hotel.nSo run, don't walk, run to any other hotel in the area. Stay away from this viral hotbed.nnUpdated on Saturday evening. This morning went down to review breakfast. Clerk at desk not wearing mask. Coffee out where anyone can touch things. Decided to pass on their food. Left at 7am. Returned around 930pm. Room never touched. Old towels on floor. Bed unmade. No vacuum garbage emptied etc.nPeople walking all over the place with no masks.nWent downstairs for towels. Told clerk everything bad. No masks on employees guests etc.nnTHIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL IT SHOULD NOT EVEN GET ONE STAR.

Great stay! I work down the road and when the weather is too bad to drive home (Indiana), I stay here. This will be my go to place. I stayed for the first time yesterday and returned again today. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and made checking in a breeze. Both rooms I had were very clean! Kudos to the staff.
