Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago-Oswego

Shower is barely lukewarm, its 11:15pm, and the young lady who says she just started her shift was very evasive and rude about it.nnThe very least, barebones thing one should expect of a hotel is warm water for a shower. At a bare minimum.

I called to see about canceling my stay and the front desk help was so rude. All I have to say she better have canceled, because I am not paying for someone else mistake.

I blocked out this hotel for my wedding in June 2020. We put in the block request about June 2019 so a YEAR in advance. In February of 2020 I called to ask a question about the block before we had our invites made. The front women casually mentioned that they were changing from Holiday Inn to Best Western. We were never informed of this, even though we made the block well in advance. We were planning to use hotel points for my family's rooms and had said so when originally blocking off the rooms. The manager told me that we were on the list to call later this year as our block was later in the year. Well what would have happened if had already had invite made?! She also said that no we could not use our points and they would not honor a transfer AND that was not mentioned anywhere in our block. The man who took that was no longer with them. So now 5 months before my wedding I have to find a new hotel to block out rooms for. We did find a new one but are very disappointed in the care we received from this location. No wonder they are being bought out. I will make sure to leave the same review on the best Western when they open as it sounds like the same manager will be transferring over, obviously I will check first. If you have a reservation in 2020 already be advised that they are changing and don't feel the need to let their guests know about it.

Great hotel with great service. The front desk was super nice and very helpful. She made us feel welcome!! Room was very clean, everything was working properly. Comfortable bed with no bed bugs. Breakfast was included. Swimming pool is small but it works. Can't wait to come back !!

Room was clean but had a strange chemical smell in the room. Staff was very friendly. Parking lot was well lit. All amenities were provided. Reasonably priced.
