This place is extremely pricey they have bikes that are being repaired mixed with bikes that are for sale all the bikes are over priced and even the used bikes aren’t worth buying for the price they sell the used bikes you can buy a brand new one. They as soon as you walk in the door your spending $80 they won’t touch your bike u less you pay the $80 service fee. Your better off YouTubing any repair you need done and doing it yourself.

excellent selection of bicycles for different customer needs, Salespeople have extensive knowledge of various bikes and their components. They rebuilt my 1990 Trek 750 with various components and it still rides great today

So glad I went and got a second opinion about my bike. I saved myself $425 by NOT going to this store. Either the mechanic was trying to rip me off or he really had no idea how to tune my bike up. Either way I will not be setting foot inside this store ever again even though it is only two blocks away from my house. I found a different store that was able to tune my bike up into better condition that it's been running for years. That's where I will be buying my family's bicycles for years to come.

The guys/gal at the shop were nice, informative, and helpful with our (me and my son) on the purchase of his new bike. He's a big kid and they helped us choose a bike that he can grow with, a seat that he was comfortable with, and even helped him with his water bottle selection. And the good thing for me is that they take care of the first tune up. And if he has any quirks with bike just bring it in. So I am happy with my purchase, their service, and salemanship.

As the 2021 biking season is approaching, I am quickly reminded; yet again, to share my experience from this bike shop from last year....and here we are...finally! Being that I am a resident of Evergreen Park, Chicagoland Trek Bicycles is within minutes from my home, so If I needed repair or immediate assistance, they were the most ‘convenient’ option.nnOne day during the summer of ‘20, I brought my bicycle in so they can inspect and repair my rear tire. Let me preface that I had purchased new front and rear tires and inner tubes the day prior from another Trek retailer. The owner called the following morning to inform me that the cause of my flat was due to ‘poor installation’, ‘too much air pressure’ in inner tube. After he advised me, I had asked if he could also inspect the front tire as well, as a precaution of course, only because I would think as a repairman that’s what he’d do anyway AND because I had just gotten the equipment installed the day prior.nnThe owner stated that he would charge me another installation fee of $35 to correct TREK’s error, if he were to inspect the front tire! To that, I simply said to him that it didn’t make sense to charge such an egregious rate just to inspect a tire, considering the chance that it could be fine....which it was! I guess as a business owner and an active member in the community, he didn’t think that having humility would come a long way. He replied in a manner to which it seemed I may have offended him. It caught me by surprise because in my 39 years of living, never once had a business owner or any person(s) who is a representative of a place of business ever displayed the level of unprofessionalism that he did. As I was trying to be diplomatic and get him to understand things from the customers point of view, he basically told me to ‘go to hell’ and hung up the phone! I called back immediately and the head foreman answered and apologized for the owner’s behavior...and he stated that he would do the repair himself and will not charge me an additional fee to inspect the front tire.nn*WOW*nnI know this was a lot for something so small, but I made a point to say all of this because I value customer service and the customer ‘experience’! I live walking distance from this shop and after this debacle, I wouldn’t even refill air in my tires from them. Now, I either drive to Beverly Bike and Ski on 91st and Western or Irv’s bike shop in Pilsen for scheduled maintenance. I just want fair treatment, a place where I don’t feel like I’m requesting services that feel bothersome, a place where I feel at home, but most importantly, a shop where I don’t feel like I’m over paying for service.
