My home on Fayette Avenue in Springfield was one of the very first roofs that Blackhawk Roofing did. It was a complete tear-off of several layers of shingles. Once the roof was down to bare wood, rotted boards were replaced, and rolled roofing felt paper was laid down. I decided to replace the old shingles with premium 25-year shingles, plus new drip edge, and new flashing around the chimney. Well, it's been 25 years now, and the roof has been leak-free the entire time.
Called about my roof and he was not very nice about telling me that I should not have a metal roof. Was not easy to work with
