Such a cute homey place. The couple who own it are very sweet and hospitable. Definitely would recommend

1st, let me stress that the hosts were delightful. Very accommodating, doing the best to comply with Covid restrictions and cleanliness. The house is an historic beauty. Sadly, the interior and furnishings are very tired. Too much heavy furniture, much of it with a musty smell. Also, there were lots of decorations and knick knacks, that left little room for personal possessions in the guest room. Breakfast was a variety of freshly prepared items, really good. Again, I think a deep cleaning and decluttering would go a long way to eliminate the stale and musty smells.

Adorable! We are here to use the room for a bridal party and I plan to come back!nn*Edit - While being at this venue to change for a wedding which we were open about before booking the room we were confronted numerous times by woman who I'm assuming is the owner or someone related, complaining about everything we were doing. We booked the room for two nights and someone stayed in the room the night before and will be staying in the room tonight. There's absolutely no reason why we could not use the common areas which are included in the price of the room. There is no need to be rude to us while we are getting ready saying that we should have booked the entire venue when that was never told to us. We said what we were there for and had originally booked two rooms instead of one and switched to one so there was no confusion as to what we were doing. There is no need to be rude to photographers and wedding coordinators. You have lost my business in the future and probably the rest of the bridal party. If there was some reason why we should have booked the entire place that should have been said in advance and not in the middle of our reservation. You put a bad taste in a very well-known photographers mouth along with the wedding coordinators. It is never right to treat your guests rudely for a mistake your staff made. For all of these reasons I have changed to two stars.

This is a beautiful well appointed inn. We stayed in the Alexander room and it was perfect. Very spacious and ornate. Extremely clean and any amenity you could possibly need was there. The breakfast is outstanding and be hungry because it is plentiful with juices, hot teas, coffee etc Gourmet cooking not just basic dishes. We enjoyed the two specialty quiches and the fresh fruit and many other choices. In the evening there were cookies, muffins and a yummy loaf cake for snacks. Very safe and convenient area. Enjoyed conversation at the table with the owners Susan & Wayne and the other guests! Will definitely be a repeat guest in the future! BTW Christmas time is wonderful time to visit. They had lovely decorations and a beautiful tree.

We had an excellent stay. The historic house is beautiful. The owners are so warm and engaging. The breakfast was delicious. The room was spacious and very clean. Highly recommended!
