Overall very nice. I like the different room setups, being a residence, the rooms are much nicer to stay in for any amount of time. Some of the front desk ladies were rude, others were wonderful, the guy at the front desk was cool and helpful. Rooms were well appointed and clean. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

The room was beautiful and clean. Beds were too hard for our liking but nice. The price was great but I wish they were more upfront with the pricing to let you know there's extra fees involved instead of getting a shock when you get that notification ud83dude33.

This hotel has roaches. I was appalled to wake up the morning of checkout to find a roach crawling across my bathroom door. I also approached the front desk about it and all I got was I’m sorry.nnThe manager proceeded to comment on my review of the hotel blaming bad weather and “palmetto bugs” well, I worked front desk for a decade and lived in South Carolina my whole life. I know about “Palmetto Bugs” and I would not come to the front desk about that. Those are unavoidable. This was a house roach, not a “palmetto bug” and if you would’ve looked at the picture I posted you would’ve seen the difference. It shows you don’t care about your guests, you only care about saving face. I don’t understand how this hotel maintains its Marriott status. I should never have come back to this hotel, it just goes further and further down hill.

We will stay here every time we visit Columbia. The two bedroom suite has two full baths. Great for a family with kids. Full kitchen including dishwasher. The Covid-era breakfast wasn't as good as I imagine it is during non-Covid times. Most of the foods were frozen/packaged. Front desk staff was very nice.
