Great big room at a reasonable price. Great customer care and caring employees. I'll be back for sure
The hotel lobby is very nice. When I got to my room, none of the switched on the walls turned off the lights. I had to manually go around to every light and shut it off, not a big deal but if you get up in the night, it makes it difficult. The bathroom had light switches everywhere, except it seemed as though only the original one you hit would actually turn the light off once it was on. Again not a big deal, but it just seemed to make no sense to have so many switches that did nothing. The vanity light above the sink did not work at all and the vanity in the bedroom area (suite) also did not work. I did call the front desk and it was fixed by the time I got back, but the vanity light in the bathroom was still unusable. The towels and sheets were clean, but the toilet paper was pathetic. For the price, at least buy some Charmin or something. The handle to open the light blocking drapes wasn't connected to the drapes, so you just pulled them shut, again not a big deal but for a suite, I feel like a lot was overlooked. Since COVID is going on, there was no daily housekeeping unless requested, and because they don't have an open on-site restaurant, I had food bags that I really would have loved to have gotten rid of, but didn't really need my entire room cleaned. Bed was comfortable. The shower itself looks really nice, but the showerhead was something else. It is not adjustable and just sprays everywhere, taking forever to get shampoo and conditioner out of my hair.
Overall, the room was super clean, its just being a suite, the lights should have all worked on the vanities, the toilet paper should be better than tissue paper and the curtains should really be fixed. There was no cream for the coffee but water in the fridge was nice. My mobile room key was fussy but eventually got it to work. Staff was friendly. I would stay here again but probably wouldn't pay for a suite.
Without going into too much detail, a hotel employee turned off the elevator while we were inside. I mentioned to him upon my exit to do so when people are not inside. He became argumentative and I tried to deescalate and he just walked away. I complained to the acting manager aka "chief engineer" (which means head of maintenance, unlikely has an engineering degree) and he didn't seem genuine when he said he would address the issue. I returned from breakfast to get the offender's name and name of GM. The result of complaining about his friend? He called the cops and trespassed me. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! (That's sarcasm) We need more people like him NOT working in hospitality.
Had a room provided and paid for by the company I work for to stay in during our construction job. I unloaded my bags from the company truck and sat in the parking lot on the phone with my wife after about 5 minutes on the phone I had security come up and harass me about being in the parking lot. I informed him I was a guest and returned to Mmy call. I then went into the lobby yo buy a soda and was then harassed by four note employees and you told I looked homeless and then they told me i had tip leave because the room was in my employers name not mine. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY ARE VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND LACK ALL HOSPITALITY SKILLS.
Just a room. No restaurant. No breakfast. Really nothing spectacular. Lots of homeless people wandering around and begging. Kind of an odd spot for a Hilton.
