Staybridge Suites Salt Lake-West Valley City

This hotel really rescued us when we had to change hotels due to terrible service at another hotel. Their rates are great. The hotel is clean, safe, and comfortable. It was so nice to sleep in a nice bed that’s clean and not falling apart, where the staff isn’t rude or abusive. And the best part, the toilets flush. This may not seem important until you’ve stayed at a hotel where things like this do not work and no one working there cares. This cannot be said about the stayvridge. This hotel and its staff care.

If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. Let me just start with the fact that the manager, was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, impatient & avoidant. Gigi was her name. For one, I really didn’t like how she wasn’t wearing her mask correctly, nor the staff. We get it, everyone has excuses but to be in the work environment where a bunch of guests stay? & there are guests complying with the rules? You should too. Secondly, my room had an incident & the manager was compliant with switching out my room, so of course I was happy with that. Until I heard an utterly louder knock than usual that was very consistent that disrupted my peace. It was so consistent that I didn’t even have time to put a mask on, as I opened the room door, the manager Gigi forcefully tried to surpass me and enter the room! I was not OKAY with that. I preceded to tell her that I need a moment to gather my belongings and let alone PUT A MASK ON. A little patience goes a long ways, which she does not have. My sister then, asked her firmly, who she was and why is she here (she had no clue we were moving rooms, and was having a hard night already.), the manager Gigi then got extremely offended and impatient and gave no time for other responses from me before saying, she’s going to have us removed from our stay and that she will be calling the police (for extra help). I precede to follow her & mind you guys I’m being very calm and collected, I tell her that I was the one who answered the door so I’m unsure as to why she let her emotions rise from my sister who wasn’t even in this, only asked a simple question when the manager tried to barged in the room. As I’m following her being very concerned trying to get extra information, she rolls her eyes over & over. Lack of compassion! Not even mentioning that her eyes kept staring down at my chest/ stomach area due to my see through blouse and I felt extremely uncomfortable. My eyes are on my face ma’am. Her hospitality was very disappointing. Being in a manager position you should always keep it professional because then guests have to leave a review like this. You’re better off staying at the Hilton next door! (Refer to other review about staff & management not wearing masks correctly.) Hopefully this review helps make your decision on staying here.

Not my favorite location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Laundry took way too long to complete. A cycle may take 30 mins but that doesn’t not mean it’s clean or dry. Several fights broke out with people bleeding and some going to jail. Clean rooms, clean elevators and well lit parking lot. Convenience store needs more of a selection or more stock. Everything always appeared as if they were out. Management was helpful and accommodating. Elevators die run slow and should not be used when you are in need of the restroom!!!

We stay at a lot of hotels and this hotel ranks as one of our best. Staff was friendly and even remembered my name a couple of days after I checked in. Bed was very comfortable and we had great sleep. Didn’t hear neighbors. Even though our room was facing the busy street, we didn’t hear ANY noise when the windows were closed. I was amazed! The only negative - they need another towel hook in the bathroom. Very nice stay and will most definitely stay again.

Going back and re-reviewing. Been here some weeks now. This place has some maintenance issues. Half the washer and dryers are broken. My last room had some ac issues that were resolved by me changing rooms. Two weeks later my coworker got the same room and it had the same issues. The base boards on the third floor hallway have been off for at least four weeks. I love the staff and location. The front desk people get a 10 out of 10 for sure.
