Quality Inn & Suites

Was made to stand outside in 33 degree weather to register. Barking dog inside lobby roamed free. Clerk was rude when I asked about this....nnAll rooms have outdoor entrances...room had heat off when i got there....took 45 minutes to get it warm...trash cans are overflowing with trash and food bags...unsightly old furniture left outside...Bath tub is old and dirty...wont use it!nnBut tv was nice...bed was comfortable and price was affordable...

It took hours for the Room to get even Comfortably Warm, the Telephone gave no dial tone, the Remote had no Batteries, and couldn’t get the TV Channel up/down to work. And One Lady on 2nd Shift who worked the Front was Rude and Unprofessional when trying to resolve an issue.

Horrible hotel.....pay a bit more and stay across the street at the Hampton inn. Checked in and was told to remote didn't work so they switched our room. Upon entering the room the carpet had stains, the room had an odor, the TV had dots all over the picture, and there was a dead bug on the bed. We were moved to yet another room (after being offered a refund, but we didn't have any other options). This room was ok, but definitely not good. When we went down for breakfast I was again disappointed, there was apple juice that had no apple taste and biscuits that appeared to be microwave biscuits. After checking out, I checked my bank account and found that I was double charged. I immediately called the hotel and was told I would receive a call back, but after several hours I called again. I finally received a call back from the owner and was told out of the goodness of his heart he would refund my money. After 2 days I called again because the charge was still showing. I was told I received a free room, to which I angrily replied I paid twice for the room. I do finally receive my refund for the second charge.

Even if you are not expecting much, DO NOT stay here. It is a horrible place. Property is run down and not maintained or clean and the clientele and staff are questionable. I chose to stop here on my travel upon reading the review by Wilkesboro Tourism board, but have now found out the owner is on the Wilkesboro travel and tourism board so the review should be considered worthless. Shame on the city and board for allowing this. The hotel was called the red carpet previously and the reviews under that search reflect the property more accurately.

The Quality Inn is a great place to stay if you are in town for business or events. Located close to 421, the hotel is convenient to downtown Wilkesboro, the Community College, the retail corridor, and much more. The staff were friendly and attentive and rooms were clean and tidy.
