Lookout Lodge

Lookout Lodge is the quintessential mountain getaway! Tucked away on Snake Mountain, the house provides spectacular views of both North Carolina and Tennessee. I was treated to beautiful sunsets in the evening, which I enjoyed seeing from the hot tub or from the top deck. The house itself is spacious and incredibly cozy. My friends and I loved having our own king sized beds and separate bathrooms. There are so many great towns and shops nearby to explore--I highly recommend visiting the Original Mast General Store, the shops in West Jefferson, the Ham Shoppe, and Heritage Homestead dairy and goat farm!

Beautiful Romantic GetawaynnMy wife and I stayed here for an extended weekend to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. No pictures could possibly do justice to the breathtaking views. The home was pristine, and no detail was overlooked. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with warm house and a ready-to-light fireplace. While traditional amenities like TV (including Netflix) and high-speed internet are available, we preferred to enjoy the quiet, natural surroundings. One of my favorite features was the hot tub with a view of the mountains and valley below.nWhile our first trip was just the two of us, the massive bedrooms and private areas would be great for multiple couples or family – certainly something we’ll consider for future trips. As far as style, Lookout Lodge beautifully combines the look of classic mountain with a contemporary modern feel. As a side-note, I also recommend visiting Sharpies Restaurant (just down the mountain) while you’re there.
