The Lodge at Cat Creek

Very mixed feelings about this place. If you're coming for a couple's or family vacation, you should love it. It's a beautiful lodge set in the mountains of NC, comfortable beds, large rooms with private screened in porches, and great views. Very peaceful. If you're renting it as a venue, I highly recommend getting an agreement in writing of who is responsible for what. We went for a friend's wedding, and the older couple who owns and runs it had agreed to set up all the chairs for the ceremony and the tables and chairs for the reception. However, they moved so slowly that we in the wedding party chipped in and helped. Then the morning of the wedding, one of the owners pulled the groom aside & started telling him in no uncertain terms when we all needed to be out by the next day, what we needed to do before checking out, etc. quite rudely and ON HIS WEDDING DAY. And on checkout day, both owners insisted we all help break down all the chairs and tables AGAIN even though it was supposed to be their responsibility. They said the husband had recently had back surgery and couldn't move as quickly. I totally understand, but hire people to come out and help you. Don't make the bride, groom, and entire wedding party and families clean everything up all the while fussing that we're late checking out. No thanks were given, no congratulations to the bride and groom. So, get an agreement in writing.

Great location HUGE rooms and super clean and cozy! I highly recommend this place for a getaway to come and get some rest and relax. We’re going to be back for sure ud83dudc4dud83dudc4d

We had a great weekend trip to the lodge. Everything was clean and very nice. The staff was very accommodating and always made sure we were comfortable. Would definitely recommend!
