Oak Park Inn

We've stayed here so many times. They are always super friendly and the coffee's always on. It's conveniently located in the heart of town. The bakery out front is amazing and it's walking distance from other good eateries and shops. It's a great place to rest your head if you're up for adventure or a lovely place to relax if you want to enjoy the mountains & small town atmosphere.

positives: great location walkable to downtown. Grounds are attractive. Nice retro old school feel motor lodge with rocking chairs and parking right at the door. However, that is where it ends.nnegatives: Nothing in the room has been updated in decades. Seemed clean but so incredibly dated and worn it was hard to tell. Sheets were threadbare, blanket seemed army issue from the 50s, mattress was shot with a moving foam piece on top, no padding between thin fitted sheet and foam (eeww), furniture was missing finish, lamp shades would not even hang properly. Water backed up in sink and tub. Could go on.nI do not know where all these great reviews come from. Perhaps I got the only bad rooms? The place was not even half full and my friend in the next room reported same.nAlso no masks by office staff at any time.

Clean, quiet, affordable and friendly American owners and employees. Conveniently located. Easy access to everything!

Older units, price was so so. Very good internet. Power outlets not close enough to bed. TV was small. Refigerator was off when we got there. Chairs were too low to the floor. Great for a cheap overnight stay and convenient, but wouldn't recommend for an extended stay as the bed was not comfortable and sagged. How they dont allow locals is strange...

Great little place to stay! Nice people!
