Motel 6 Fayetteville, NC – I-95

Zero Covid precautions. During check in, both hotel staff members behind the counter weren't wearing masks, same as the 5-6 other people hanging out in the lobby area. Hotel parking lot was full of multiple running cars with people just hanging out in them. Lots of rooms with open doors and 9-10 people inside just hanging out. I'm no dummy, this was a drug hotel. The room (supposedly a non smoking room) smelled awful, like a combination of smoke, mold, and ineffective cleaning products. The final straw was the live bed bugs crawling under the covers of the bed. Hands down the worst Motel 6 experience I've ever had. I didn't expect it to be luxurious, but I'm not asking too much to expect it to be safe and clean. I would love to have the owner of this place be forced to spend a night there, with his/her family.

So I book a room at this hotel threw hotels.com yesterday. We arrive at the hotel and was told they don't have any rooms and was given a cancelation letter with a number to call that took 2hrs to handle and get a room at another hotel. I want to say I'm disappointed because no one called to say anything before we left home. No stars

its a old hotel in dire need for a update.
