The Captain's Stay Bed & Breakfast

We had an amazing stay at the Captain stay bed and breakfast. Rooms were very clean, the owner Mark was very nice. Breakfast was awesome not to mention Mark makes the Best blueberry scones I've ever had. Already reserved a stay again in Oct. 2018

Absolutely fantastic experience. This was our first BnB, and the hospitality by the owners was top notch. The residence had a friendly and history filled atmosphere, there were beautiful antiques throughout.The breakfast was great tasting, freshly made to order, filling and personalized. The Inn Keepers, Mark and Lori, were sweet, friendly and voluntarily provided assistance with a dilemma we had with our travel plans. Next time we are in New Bern, we will be staying here again.

Stayed here in April, hosts were most charming and welcoming, really made us feel at home. Breakfast was five star. Homemade sourdough bread, btw would love the recipe, his crepe with fresh berries and yogurt were a delightful surprise along with the more traditional bacon and eggs. Love, love, love the proximity to the palace and highly recommend taking the trolley tour. New Bern and especially the Captains Stay B & B will be seeing us again.

One word.....AMAZING! The Cottage is very comfortable. The owner is absolutely fantastic and an outstanding cook. This was my wife and daughter's first time at a B&B and Craig made it the best.nCraig was more than happy for our dogs to stay with us. We will definitely be making plans to come back in the future.

Every year my mother and I go away on a Girls Getaway trip to somewhere different. This is the first year that we agree we'd like to go back to the same location the next year and that is in large part due to our wonderful time at the Captain's Stay! Craig and Denise are new owners but you would never guess it. They made us feel right at home from the beginning. They were knowledgeable about the town and gave great recommendations and directions. There were little touches all over the house that made us feel cozy, comfortable and at home. The beds were super comfortable and rooms were spacious. There were several wonderful nooks and crannies to crawl into with a good book or just to sit and chat - the front porch swing being my favorite. Hands down the best part was Craig's cooking! The breakfasts were something out of a 5 star restaurant and one thing is for certain - no one will go hungry on Craig's watch. When we left we couldn't help but hug Craig and Denise because we truly felt like we had spent the weekend with friends. We cannot wait for our next trip to the Captain's Stay!
