Palace Motel

The staff were very nice. The changes the new owners have made WOW !!! The rooms no longer have the carpet but fresh new hardwood flooring that is beautiful. The price for a single 50 plus room key refundable 5.00 get 65.for a dbl. All have fridge micro and flat screen TV. MS Sheila and family have really made a Hugendifference. MS Holly is a Angel just as sweet as southern apple pie. Godly woman affectionate . Give the new owners a try. You will not be disappointed. No longer the bad atmospheres forr they don't tolorate it. Also. NO PETS !!!

Was having a family issue. Went down to check on family. Brief stay Called all around looking for hotels because we made reservations before we arrived. When we arrived there was a gentleman at the desk that took a look at me after he seen that I was of color . He seen my wife which was white At that point he turned around and told me he did not rent to my kind. Ended up traveling all around down there could not get a room short notice ended up sleeping the night in the car with my wife my little boy with spina bifida my daughter. Very disgusting ownership very prejudiced would not recommend would highly suggest driving right on by.

It was ok. The sheet on the bed did not fit. The towels where like hand towels to dry your self with. But over all the room was clean, and the person I dealt with was nice

Should be named The Palace, Hidden Gem Motel. I am stunned with the the previous reviews. These individuals are more bougie than practical. Let’s keep our expectations within reason. Affordable, clean, accommodating, and the staff is more hospitable than any $300 a night lodging I have experienced. Here it is, my father is a patient at the oncology center in New Bern, we travel 2 hours for his treatment, 3 consecutive days a month, and with COVID-19, we are not permitted to stay with him through his treatments. Choice: Stay in parking lot with family distraught with anxiety and depression, drive around aimlessly, or find a safe haven to wait out his discharge. Quick Google search, and behold, The Palace beckoned us with a nice rate, excellent proximity to oncology center, and a couple sweeeeet perks. Not only did they allow us an early check in, but also granted a late check out, so we were able to be in an air conditioned, double queen suite for 7 hours, retrieve my father, head 2 hours back home, return in the morning and still use our room. BOOM! Well done Palace, I will be seeing you again, maybe on a depressing trek, but you offer a reprieve from that with accommodations that make it easier on my family. Thank you again!

They were rude and gave me a fine for having my dogs. There was no sign posted that said no pets. I will not return.
