Kwanzaa Family Inn

I stay here now with my 4 day old baby girl. The staff is amazing the people are amazing. If your in a tough spot this is a great place to get the recources you need to get back on your feet. They have a huge fscility the kids have a play room and a playground outside. Its not the nicest place. But they definitely don't have roaches or bed bugs. Its better then most of the shelters you go to. They are extremly helpful and are willing to help as long as you help yourself. If you ever find yourself in a bind and need emergency housing i would call them. Its an amazing facility filled with amazing staff.

Kwanzaa is what you make of it like any other place. The director is more than willing to help you with all the resources you may need in getting you back on your feet. Since Rebecca Snyder was hired as Director of Kwanzaa (she is a former resident, as am I) I've seen more people get accepted into housing programs,get help from resources that I never knew existed,if your one needing to file for disability it's a great opportunity to take advantage of your stay.Most shelters you have to leave during the day,at Kwanzaa you do not.Thats a great advantage because its stressful enough dealing with what your dealing with. Everyone has some kind of circumstance that happens in their lives. Kwanzaa sets back off the road,its quiet and serene enjoy all sorts of birds,deer, rabbits, there's also a horse named trigger that we've sorta adopted. The residents love to walk our scenic driveway down to the horse pasture to give trigger an apple or two.If your looking for a place to get back on your feet. Kwanzaa is a great place to be, we've been there and know how hard it can be. I myself am thankful for Kwanzaa.
