The Beach House Motel & Suites by Carolina Retreats

My 82 yr old Mother n I booked a room at least a month in advance for an event going on near by!nWe really enjoyed our stay. The staff. Was Great.nWaking up to the sunrise n enjoying the sunset was perfect.nThank you Debbie the other lady who booked us, sorry I can't remember your name we would come back any chance we get!!

This Motel is located close to the Beach and pier...on second row at Oak Island on Beach Road which was nice since our stay was to surf fish.nThe Motel is in dire need of remodeling.......to say the least. Rooms were retro 1970's with run down furniture at least 45 or 50 years old...and tile was tore up in little kitchenette area along with musty stale smelling carpet....Good comment is that The House Keepers were very nice and accommodating for our party of four, and even though the pool was out of order, the price was reasonable with no extra charge for my Support Dog. Hope the owners remodel it soon.

Debbie Reilly does poor business. She is telling items on Facebook market place with a pick up location of this hotel. On my way she sold the items to someone else after I communicated I was on my way. If this is how this business is run I wouldn't stay there.

It was a house I have stayed in for 17 years with Margaret Rudd. Property was sold to Better Beach Rentals. I love this house but after so many issues I checked out a day early. My car got stuck in the driveway, guy waited till Thanksgiving Day ran into the house with the grader, cut the cable line. I was parked by the street & WORSE trip ever. So disappointed...Bad experience beware.

Great older hotel. ( Island Resort)nHas new owner w remodel to begin in December.nGreat staff.. Great pool.nAcross street from beach and pier.nExcited to see renovations.nOffice staff excellent.. Especially Kimberly.nAmanda in housekeeping Awesome.nGroundskeeper soo nice.
